Travel to Bath
Just a short train ride from paddington station (about an hour and a half) and you’ll be whisked away back in time feeling like Jane Austin or a part of the Bridgerton cast. While wandering the streets of Bath don’t miss seeing the Roman Baths, the Royal Crescent and the view from Pulteney Bridge. If you’d like some where to stroll don’t miss Prior Park or spend some time at Topping & Company looking for your next read.
Restaurant Tips: Landrace, The Huntsman, Green Street, Bosch Pizzeria, Sally Lunn’s

Travel to Broadstairs and Canterbury
If you’re up for an adventure head to the beautiful coastal town of Broadstairs about 2 hours via train from London. From the train station we headed immediately towards the water. We happened upon a craft market which we naturally stopped at and picked up a few gifts. Then as a true beach girl I had to see the beach so we spent some time wandering along the promenade. We grabbed some Fish & Chips and ate it with a view after walking along the beach.
Next we grabbed a bus to Canterbury to see the town from Canterbury Tales. We explored the town strolling through the Westgate Gardens and making sure to see The Crooked House while wandering through the town. Once we were finished exploring we bought a bus ticket from Canterbury to London to get back to our hotel for the night.
Travel to Richmond Upon Thames and Kew Gardens
In the summer head to Kew Gardens, just a 50 minute tube ride, to explore probably the most diverse botanical garden I’ve ever been to. You can spend hours strolling through the iconic structures like the Palm House or Temperate House. It was so peaceful to spend time out here before heading to Richmond, a charming riverside town that feels like a village escape from London. Whether you’re a fan of Ted Lasso or not, you can’t miss spending some time in Richmond.

Travel to Stonehenge, Cotswolds and Bath
This was my first ever day trip out of London as a solo traveler at the end of November. I decided that the easiest way to hit as many spots as possible was to take a tour. Seeing Stonehenge is something that won’t take long but you’ve got to do it right? However, my favorite part of the day was exploring the small towns in the Cotswolds and ending the day in Bath right before heading back into London. We were able to see some Harry Potter filming locations, explore the towns and walk around the Bath Christmas Market.

Travel to Seven Sisters Cliffs
When visiting London one August and after seeing this hike a thousand times on Social Media, I decided the views would be worth hiking 15 miles. In the end it was 100% worth every step and I was so lucky to have this adventure with my mom. We took the train from London Victoria to Seaford transferring at Lewes. The transfer was a smooth process and we were joined by loads of others on the same journey as ours. We had prepared the day before by grabbing provisions so once we got to Seaford we headed to the beach to start the Seven Sisters Hike. We ended up having to take the longer route due to tides but the whole walk was just amazing and SO beautiful. We of course had to stop and grab ice cream near Birling Gap which fueled us the last leg to Eastbourne. From Eastbourne it’s easy to catch a train back to London. Every ache or pain we felt after walking was worth the views we saw along the way.
