In this post I am going to give you my top reasons to visit Brno. To start with Brno is an easy train ride from either Vienna or Prague. This city is very underrated and has so much to offer.
1. WINE
Just about 40 mins to an hour outside of Brno there is the South Moravia wineries. We took a day trip out to Lednice, Mikulov and Valtice. We took a private tour using Brno Day trips. We had a wonderful time and we were able to taste a bunch of different wines. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and loved the guide we had. He was very thoughtful and taught us much about the region we visited.
At the National Wine Saloon, I even bought two bottles of wine!
2. FOOD
We ate really well while we stayed here. We ate unique vegan food from SKOG Urban Hub, roasted knee at Blahovka and vegan sweets at Vegan food and sweet bar. This city offers such a wide variety to eat. We even found a place that we could get wine from that was amazing.
3. HISTORY
Spilberk Castle
There is so much history within the castle and walking around was so unique since the construction began during the 13th century. There are also some great views of the city since the castle is up on the hill.
10-Z bunker
This was a nuclear bunker from the old war that we were able to walk around. They allow you to dress up in the military gear that they have along with different helmets that they would wear. I love history so I thought this place was really cool.
