Golden Gate Bridge
Depending on the time of the year there may or may not be fog, I’ve been in the spring no fog clear as anything. However this past time around I went in October, so much fog. Normally I’d have walked or bikes on the bridge but there was way to much fog.
If you can wake up early enough go for sunrise at Battery Spencer. We just happened to wake up as we had decided not to go and we are so glad we were awake.
Lombard Street
This famous street is another can’t miss on a visit to San Francisco. If you are able to drive down the street I totally would do it as that is a whole other experience. Also take a stroll through Russian Hill as it is a nicer neighborhood of San Francisco.
Haight-Ashbury
This area is famous for being an area where the Hippies used to hang out and it’s cool to just walk up and down. If you are into thrifting this would be the area to do it. I do not recommend walking around here at night only go during the day.
Painted Ladies
Also can not miss the famous houses and the Fuller House House. Also would be a great area to have a picnic as well.
Chinatown
Definitely walk around this area so many cute roads and great place to grab dumplings or boba tea.
Fisherman’s Wharf/ Ghirardelli square
As a first timer you can’t miss going to the wharf to see the sea lions or getting a huge dessert at Ghirardelli or even trying a sourdough bread bowl.
